Never Pick A Fight With A Man Who Owns A Broadcast Network If You’re a White, Straight Male
We can update that for our century by including those who broadcast video on a national scale. Consider this quote by one of the Zimmerman jurors:
“You can’t put the man in jail even though in our hearts we felt he was guilty,” the juror said. “We had to grab our hearts and put it aside and look at the evidence.”
Now, if there wasn’t enough evidence to convict, then why did they feel in their hearts that he was guilty? Because the 24/7 news coverage told them that he was. And the media don’t need evidence, in fact, evidence tends to cramp their ability to write the so-called news. They have an agenda. And destroying white, straight males comprises most of it. George Zimmerman was at first reported to be a married white man, and this was later changed to a married “white hispanic”.
This juror had heard for nearly a year and a half that George Zimmerman was guilty. And she believed it. But, gratefully, she was able to put her feelings aside and cast a jury ballot based on the evidence which was presented in a court of law, not the court of public opinion. (Although her feelings remained the same.)
The moral of the story: recently, MSNBC Anchor Thomas Roberts said that the trifecta of privilege was being white, straight males. If you are a white, straight male, you will have to prove your innocence beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law if you use a firearm to defend yourself or your loved ones. Especially if the aggressor wasn’t. And you’ll have to fight first in the court of public opinion – without the benefit of your own broadcast network.
