Wake the Flock Up
by milesstoneman
Proverbs 27:23 Be sure you know the condition of your flocks, give careful attention to your herds; 24 for riches do not endure forever, and a crown is not secure for all generations.
We are all subject to the disability known as “normalcy bias”. When everything seems to be going well, we easily assume that it will always will be the same.
WARNING! IT’S TIME TO WAKE THE FLOCK UP!
As we’ve said before, it’s easy to carry every day and after a certain number of days of carrying needlessly, we easily assume that we won’t need our gun today.
WARNING! IT’S TIME TO WAKE THE FLOCK UP!
For our entire life time, we’ve been able to choose our government representatives, and we easily assume that we will always be able to vote, and control them.
WARNING! IT’S TIME TO WAKE THE FLOCK UP!
Right now, especially, there seems to be a confluence of opinion FOR gun ownership and the ability to carry them, openly or concealed. We are winning.
WARNING! IT’S TIME TO WAKE THE FLOCK UP!
Consider the following chart, compiled by Charl Van Wyk, and printed in his book Shooting Back, The Right and Duty of Self Defense:
Think disarmament can’t happen here? Think genocide can’t happen here? Think we’re immune from the evil which other good people have suffered?
WARNING! IT’S TIME TO WAKE THE FLOCK UP!
If we want to keep our liberty, we have to be at least as awake and aggressive as our enemies. They never sleep, and are willing to fight every day to take your guns away.
Are you that dedicated to keeping them?
WARNING! IT’S TIME TO WAKE THE FLOCK UP!
These are always well written brother. Another disturbing part of that chart – Christians were often the target.

This all has to measured against Luke 9.23 Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. 24 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it. 25 What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self? Like the sons of Issachar. It pays to know what time it is.
